Little women.
Watched "Little Women" again last night. I love that movie. The characters, their home, their strong bonds, and perspective on love and life. I envy their ability to be happy with what they have. Louisa May Alcott wrote the novel. Its based on her life, family and Concord in the 1860s. The novel became a TV-series, a musical, an opera and several movies, the last one came out in 1994. It became my favorite movie. I
Four sisters:
Jo: Josephine March. She is a tomboy, she is outspoken and temperamental. She knows what she wants, and is the most independent character in the movie. She loves her family and the way things are, and is apposed to letting her sisters grow up, get married and move out of the lovely nest they have created for themselves. She refuses "Laurie" - her best friend and neighbour - She moves to New York, and meets professor Bhaer. He becomes her friend, mentor and husband. He is the push she needs to wright a novel about her childhood.
Meg: Margareth March. She is the oldest of the four sisters. She is a romantic, and not afraid to end up like her mother; in love with a kind, poor man. She is feminine and pretty, and has a great, big heart. She is responsible and helpful. She finds her true love, John Brooke, early in the movie, gets married, moves in the the house next door, and gives birth to twins.
Beth: Elizabeth March. What I like about her is the immense love she has for her sisters. She feels their pain as if it were here own. Her love makes her charitable. She seems to have a very special connection to Jo. She is a quiet girl. She loves the piano. She is the musician in the family. Her kindness becomes her bane, she gets scarlet fever, and dies later on. Before she dies she tells Jo that she is happy to leave, but that she will miss her family dearly.
Amy March: She is the youngest of the sisters. As a young girl she is manipulative and self-centered, but she matures a lot over the time span of the movie. She is interested in art, and she gets to travel. Shortly after Beths death she marries their childhood friend, Laurie (Theodore Laurence).
Made a silly quiz. Find out what March sister you are.

The clock is ticking.
I'm obsessed with making baby stuff. First a blanket, then the shoes, after that the socks, and now another blanket. No, I'm not preggers! It might be my inner clock ticking away, or its just that I'm a lazy person. Cant be bothered crocheting or knitting bigger pieces of clothing or blankets. Small stuff is faster, and way more cute!
Thinking of children though. Maybe Ill be a foster parent, or perhaps I will have children of my own in a year or two. Been debating a lot at work lately - when is it a good time to have children?
A child is a blessing, and for most of us something you HAVE to have, but timing is everything! When?! Its important that you do SOMETHING with your life before you become a parent, cos you cant do whatever you want once you do get them. You just cant. But what is that one (...or two... or three) thing(s) you NEED to do?
For me its traveling. Been in nearly thirty countries, but there is still a lot to see, food to taste and experiences to... well experience. Who will win? Who takes over the control? The adventurer or the part of me that so badly wanna become a mother?

Crocheting.
Been crocheting a lot the last few weeks. Made a baby blanket, baby shoes and a pair of socks. I`ve been kinda stressed out lately, and crocheting calms me down. Helps me organize my thoughts. It's actually therapeutic. Who would have guessed :-P
